FS: LWB Euro Turn Signals - AC Exclusive

As many know, I've started using new turn signal housings made by Tasker. Original cores are hard to find and usually stupidly expensive given the shape they are in. The new housings by Tasker are in my opinion much better than originals anyway as they are made of aluminum as opposed to the original cheap pot metal that Porsche used.

As discussed here previously, there is a BIG difference between turn signal configurations for U.S. cars and Euro (RoW) cars. Here's a brief snippet from the product page at the AC Shop:

    -----

Differences Between U.S. and Euro (RoW) LWB Turn Signals

Turn signals made for the U.S. have all amber lenses and the small 4w light is located on the outward side of the turn signal toward the outside of the car. Those made for Euro and RoW destinations have amber/clear lenses with the clear located on the inward side of the lens toward the inside of the car, next to the horn grille. The reason is that is where the 4w bulbs are located on Euro cars.

Many owners prefer the look of Euro lenses over the U.S. lenses and simply install them on U.S. housings. However, for those that prefer a more authentic and original look, that looks a bit off.

AC has solved that problem by converting U.S. housings to proper Euro housings. That's accomplished by installing a (hard to find) Porsche bulb holder on the proper end of the housing for the Euro configuration with wiring. The assemblies that are listed here are properly configured for the Euro look.

    -----

I've started building these and I have a Euro configured set built and ready to ship.

The price for the pair as configured with silver trim lenses and short wiring harness is $815.00. You can also opt for black trim lenses at the same price and add Kroon OEM full harness for another $365.00.

You will find more information here.

    Thanks,
    John

John, these look like a very nice solution!

One clarification: maybe I’ve misunderstood, but I read your page(http://www.audettecollection.com/a-g...-turn-signals/) as saying the euro/row config has the clear lens adjacent to the horn grille (with a city light right behind it). Is that correct?

Do you have a ‘retrofit’ part available separately to move the small bulb to the euro position?

    Hi John

Great that you have made these.

In my experience all the Aussie cars with these bodies had the inside of the body painted white and the wire that was inside also had a white sheath that was adhered to the body, just in front of the body gasket with what looks like a dab of rubber cement of some sort

I'll find a pic to make sense of this dribble and post it.
