Have been reading about replacing ignition switch and have a question. Removing and taking apart the switch seems to be a pain. I assume part of this (e.g., breakoff bolt) is on purpose for security. But, as I understand it, if one has the back electrical part of a switch, one can just plug it in and start the car with a screwdriver. Is that correct? Of course, even if so, that would require a thief having some technical knowledge but does seem to be an issue.
