Since I'm crazy nuts for '73 RS's (and RSR's), this was the one I was drooling over. I've had a poster of this car since college, dragging it around for the last 50 years, now on the wall in my garage (last image).

Is that the real deal or a (very, very good) replica?
Because the '59' I have seen in the past had the racing FT3 fuel cell with the two openings in the hood - like the car in the poster.
regardless though, it's an awesome car!

Hard to say without confirming the chassis number, 9113600328, as the winning vehicle. In their active racing career, these cars probably saw many alterations from race to race, so at what point would be the baseline for an 'accurate' restoration?

My assumptions on the Brumo's RSR......

I believe the car displayed is owned by Bruce Meyer's... and most likely restored by Bruce Canepa.

I also believe Brumo's bought 3 factory RSR's for the '73 session.... I trust this is one of the 3.... And most likely not the '73 Daytona winner...

    Again, my assumptions...

It would be nice if Luft had some small info cards about the cars.
