    Parcel shelf colour 1973 911E

    Hi,

    1973 E

It has been a long time since I have posted or even visited early911s.

I am looking for some advice on originality and the colour the vinyl should be on my parcel shelf. My build has taken 8 years, long stops on many occasions. It has finally finished and I am now in the process or having the interior retrimmed back in blue leatherette with madras tartan. My car is Gemini Blue and originally blue inside, nothing remained of the interior so I am having to start completely fresh.

Question is should the rear parcel shelf be completely blue to match the interior or mixed with black on top and blue behind the seats. I have seen so many combinations that I assume it must have be an option to go either way or was this different depending on T, E or S?

Here a couple of picture of an Italian delivery 2.4S in Seeblau, interior blue/black.

It is my understanding that unless a car is order with interior color to sample (special wishes) it would have a black vinyl rear parcel shelf.

    Beautiful blue, BTW.

Thank you both for the info. I have gone with a mix of both but can easily change this to fully blue. My trimmer was going to struggle with quantities so I have opted for a mixed one for now.

    Seats are looking good.
