I believed the Classic muffler was made in Germany , but I was corrected by a forum member and was told it was made by Dansk . I was also corrected when I questioned Dansk as the manufacturer by another forum member . Now it seems I may be correct . Bischoff and Listrietz made the mufflers originally , the Bischoff weighed more , so one must be careful when comparing original weights with the new Classic muffler .

I can confirm that the current Classic is made in Germany. The paint is super thin and chalky though. Mine came absurdly scratched up from the local dealer. I stripped and refinished it with Cerakote.
