    Not sure if already posted here that Peckham, London born Vic Elford passed away

    He lived good life and was able share his experiences. I think I remember Vic, telling me in person, that the 911 was not designed to be a race car. It was to be a profitable luxury sports car.
    He had to keep asking the factory for one to rally in it, like the Monte Carlo. I think they finally lent him a car for Corsica or Sardinia. Somewhere around 1966 or 67.
