    What Is Rust????
    When i started this project it was posted on Restoration Design forum. That forum collapse and as i was posting on this forum It evolved into this thread
    That said .... The early post of the beginning of the project are not here

    Bob, that mountain of Restoration Design steel that you posted is just slightly more impressive than the one for my 69’ Targa restoration. I understand that RD steel is slightly thicker than stock (18 vs 20 gauge), which should make for a stiffer body. That gives me some comfort as the invoices $$$$ continue to roll in. ☹️

    Looking forward to seeing more of your impressive work!

    the real bonus of RD metal is that it is galvanized
    I did the front gas tank/suspension pan on my 912 years ago and to my surprise it was rusting just a few years afterword that was about 25 years ago
