    Recently read that glass may be a 'soft' or hard type for vintage. A Lecoultre that sits in a drawer was bad scratched. I considered that it might benefit from : 600 sandpaper/water, which took out heavier nicks but clouded everything over...followed with 1200, 1500, 2500, and 7000.

    Last was a car polish on 3" diam. foam pad drill. It is absolutely like new vs. previous condition :
