    Running issues - 1970 911S

Second post of the day... After resurrecting my dad's car from a friends garage where it sat for about 6 years and dropping it off to another friends shop yesterday I went to pick it up to take it to the body shop just a couple of miles down the street. Because of the age of the gas that was in the tank they had sucked out the old and varnished gas and put some new gas in, but evidently really just the bear minimum to move it around the shop, as while I was driving it in the street it ran out of gas.

I did put about 5 gallons of fresh gas and after a couple of tries it fired back up. The problem is that it will now idle fine but will completely die as soon as it starts moving and if I get it to start again it will run extremely poorly. I'm wondering if I might have sucked up some debries that was in the tank and partially, completely clogged the fuel filter.

Any idea, advise would be greatly appreciate it.

Yes, the INTANK fuel filter may be clogged.

Remove the fuel level sender from the gas tank and shine a light at the bottom back center of the tank to see the goop and sand like material waiting to get sucked back onto the intake probe next time you start the car
