    I had a similar issue. It was starter. However, the yellow wire that goes to the solenoid trigger does carry a fair bit of current. I also installed a relay on the starter to minimize that. Similar to the old vw solutions. Here’s mine. Just a simple fused Bosch type relay with a weather resistant harness plug.
