Thread: Which model year 911 do these Recaro Sport seats belong to?

Which model year 911 do these Recaro Sport seats belong to?

I was thinking maybe 1967-68? Both seats are driver side seats which I believe was the case on the SWB sport seats. Also, the sliders are not integrated into the seat consoles like in later year cars.
Any help appreciated from the Secret Seat Police HQ.

    Garth,
don‘t trust this seller. He knows the market prices. Parts that he offers cheap are not worth it

can only agree dirk. But to answer your question: the years of construction of the two seats are clearly different, even if the strange middle line is the same (of course not original). the one seat is year of construction 1969 - 71 (if it is important for you I would have to look again carefully if the correct year is possibly visible). the other is built in 1973 or late 1972. Also pay attention to the lower parts of the rails, which were repaired in a very cheap way. in any case when buying the function of the hinges check etc ;-) the screws were partly replaced by hexagon and there is usually a good reason for that.

    regards

"I am not sure if they are original and then or just sofa seat slides that have lost to make themselves fit."

no, these are not sofa rails. you can see quite easily. these are repaired parts of the sports seat rails that were shortened.

Thanks to those who posted for the heads up. Your comments helped me learn a little more about the early seats.
