As you know we are lucky to have the original 300090 gearbox.
While scanning the photos, I found a date on the gearbox.
I guess 30 is the number of the week of the year.
This would mean that the gearbox was manufactured between July 20 and 26, 1964.
Just a month before the start of the production.

Hi all,
As indicated in our first post, Kobus Cantraine inspected the car.
Here are some pictures of the front trunk number scan.
Yes: we have to replace (among other things) the latch support panel and the shock towers!
Kobus uses a magneto optical scanner to examine the VIN:

Interesting that there is a raised area assumedly for the VIN stamp that was not utilized.
