Does anyone know if this is right for 73 cars? Posted this in 2017 but zero reply’s.

    Mark,

This is what I have in my '73 factory Samples Book for 'Tan' and 'Brown'...

You'll need to rotate these or the photo in your link to get them in the same direction...

    Hope this helps,

    Hi,
Just replied to your email btw. Yes, it's correct for 1973 cars. Doepper used to show at Essen, but hasn't for the last years I've been there (18 or 19). You can try them online, but I know that they've been difficult for others I know that have tried.

There's a source or two I believe for the tan stateside,.. SMadre shows they have it, but doesn't show an image.

And, no I don't have any for sale, haven't for many years. Won't have it again. Sorry.

Pic is in my office, it's a slipcover "blanket" of all the houndstooth colors I did back in the day: Albert Blue/black/white, Golf blue/black/white, Pastel blue/black/white, Slate grey/black/white, Signal yellow/black/white, Sepia brown/black/white, Irish Green/black/white and Sand Beige/black/white. I also did Polo red/black/white and Black/white.

Thanks guys this helps. I never knew there were two tan/browns choices. I guess what Chuck is showing as 431 is what Eric is calling Sepia Brown. That would look great w my Sepia car, but I get a sense that the only color offered is the Tan from what I have seen. I will post my recent findings here so others may be helped in the future.

Here is my list so far. No particular order and do not know if they are all "correct". So it appears after a quick Google search there are quite a number of Pepita cloth suppliers. Most of them say that their product is the best etc....

Bought 2018 black/white Pepita from Gary (classics) and it was a very good match.

Ordered 2019 Doepper Art.-Nr.: P 9111526 and the pattern looked correct, but no reference 431 handy so that I can't judge the brown tone.
