Will you then delete this thread just like you did my other one of the 1964 to 1965 washer bottle prototype?
    Peter,

Did Eric's question ever get answered?
    Enquiring minds want to know.

I'll start a new thread on this topic if no resolution here. The Registry could be an invaluable partner in assisting entrepreneurs who have the motivation, resources, and passion to bring new products to market. Isn't the goal "What's best for the community?"

Sorry...missed this post. I'd moderate (hide) the individual post while I interacted with the author to discuss the price. Then I'd work with them to get the product in the right for sale area. Let me know if I missed any detail.

I vote that we extend Eric a universal, infinite duration, royalty-free license to do whatever the hell he wants on this Registry. The man's contributions to reproduction of otherwise unobtainable parts, with a passion for exact detail, so far transcend the horizons of commercial puffery that he, and only he, should be given a pass.

I completely agree! Eric is a valuable resource and he deserves all the leeway he needs.

The only sombrero and the only early 911 I have are both '65 (no help there) but PET says:

Pos Part Number Name Remarks Qty Model
    70 E.901.556.101.20 desk pad for emergency wheel -68 1 911 COUPE

PET certianly indicates it was also present in 1966 and 1967. It seems odd that '67 Targas would be different.

    PET is wrong
never seen on a 67 and of course not on 68.
i have one(grey) tank that came off a 66 and it has a sombrero---but since it has some air bubbles and folds.. it more looks like a lousy mounted spare part
