Ahhhh the sixties... I envision myself one early Saturday morning wearing plaid shorts, black shoes with white socks smoking a cigarette heading to the hardware store to buy a bag of nails.
SWB cars are an acquired taste however once acquired theirs no turning back.
Did we start a 240z thread? I recently purchased this Series 1 car 100% stock to enjoy in the mountains of Virginia. The build quality falls short of Porsche of the same vintage, sheetmetal is quite thin and does vibrate on the hood while driving. But it is fun to drive and not many are found on the road anymore.

Thanks Tom, the car is in storage now (out of garage space) and will come out again after the winter snow which might be as early as next week. 240z's came with steelies and hubcaps from Hiratsuka. Dealers would change these out to Mags to add even more excitement to the car. Ansen was one supplier but my set is from Appliance.
Here's a teaser photo of the business end.

Very nice. The trouble lights were always cute!
Plenty of room in the barn if things get "tight".

A few people I know have given up on longhood 911 projects and gone to 240Zs. The price rise has been similar, but the starting point was lower. An $1800 Z 7 years ago is an $8500-10,000 Z today.

thanks for that - I had a '70 Fairlady in college (traded a motorcycle for it) - japanese market mag wheels; a lot of carbs; a little foot rail on the left hand footwell for the short passenger (lol).
ended up scrapping it because I didn't know how to address the rust (the biggest face palm of MY life - oh the irony.)
