It appears he may also have access to a "severance", not part of his pension. Unless, the board decides his actions were willful (they already said he had no culpability so he'll probably get the severance).

He's also supposed to get the use of a company car during the payout term of his severance. I'm suggesting a diesel "caddie" (the rabbit pickup truck).

more or less this is like planting a trojan in your car . . . spooky, .- - number 5 lives - but if we do look at the insurance companies having installed a chip in order to read out in the case of accidents...also spooky!!

Well, I guess one must consider that they have also proven themselves masters at interpreting racing rules in building their racing cars. At least Porsche has. Perhaps VW used that expertise for these rule interpretations too!

Parts person at a Porsche/VW/Audi dealer claimed that the "defeat" system engages when "only" 2 wheels are turning (i.e. chassis dyno).

I heard that the engineer who developed the system, or soft whare was from Spain.... In Spain the VW that are affected are called fraudulent cars, they say there are about 1 million with the 2.0 engine, they are now suing.
Not good for VW or Porsche I think

A real shame, over 78,000 people depend on VW in Mexico. Direct, and indirect jobs with suppliers. They have already announced technical shutdowns at their plants in Puebla and Silao.
