I guess I feel totally different then the rest of you. I find driving a round this area great. Lots of places to explore and quite a few nice roads. I usually drive a 2 - 300 miles at a time though. Getting together for coffee I'm not as interested in, I'd rather have coffee as part of a drive.

Hey Paul, No problem. PM me your tele/new business address. I can pass by on bike. Nxt week could be good. So Yale has the right idea and does what we all do sort of. I really never get to go for 100's of miles of drives since I rarely have the time (sucks for me /great for whoever).

Getting coffee locally is for chat and just that. Meet for a first time, blah blah and move on. I am not looking for an audition for the 'View'. Not a big deal and OK if it never happens. I have the best 'car real estate' in NYC right now so stop by. We can even meet at my wash spot if planned.

Haha. View auditions to the left. That is the thing that there is perhaps less of in NYC and that's time, (that and a place to wash the car . So I'll take you up on the car wash bay someday. Time for drives I just have to make. I work for myself so my boss gives me the day off sometime or my wife is working some weekend days so I take the four or six hours off and go. See you soon.

    Hey Neighbors,

I'm a transplanted early Porsche guy, but still paying dues to Early S -- maybe someone wants to go for a ride early Sunday morning (4/5)? (I know it's Easter.) I'll be in my '58 Alfa which I just got fully sorted as of today! I'll drive anywhere, even Long Island!

Send a PM if you want to organize something last minute --
    Jim

This Saturday, I will be at one of the best vintage Porsche shops on Long Island. Stop by at ImportAutohaus in Huntington Station. Come see owner Pete and see a shop full of vinatge Porsches (67S Targa, An original '79 Turbo, a few 911T's, a '61 356B T5 coupe-(mine), 74 911 Carrera disassembly, and more)!! All aircooled and a great space.

I am working there on a concours restoration on a '66 911 coupe and the '74 Carrera.

Shop is open from 9-5. Should be a great day for a drive so come to LI's North shore.

I'm knocked out with a handicapping sciatica and my car has not turned up yet...

But ImportAutohaus sounds like my kind of place. Can't wait to discover

    See you all soon
