Cool with #1 inside - wonder what the white one is above - maybe that open container has made me miss a few open door glimpses

    Nice word smith

"Mark: I am still very much here, lying in wait for the waves to pass over me. When the global tide of liquidity recedes, and takes with it the speculators, flippers, tire-kickers, whiners, commercial sellers, stereo punks, 419 scammers and flaneurs, I shall still be here, head full of minutiae, ears full of the beautiful flat six song."

Yo early 911 New Yorkers.........I purchased a 70S Targa in 2013 with 39K original miles. In doing my research, I was able to find out that the last owner of the car before going to the 2013 Scottsdale auction was a New Yorker but the auction house will not give me the name of the previous owner. Does New York DMV give out the names of previous owners if you can prove you are the current owner of the car?

Based on a ch nbr search on this forum, it appears that Autosport Designs on Long Island sold this targa at Gooding.
Do a search for the chassis number in the search function and you will find a thread.
You could call the guys at Autosport Designs and see if they could put you in touch with the owner, assuming they have records that far back of course.
I have pretty good idea of what NY DMV would do to help
