    'Händler Nr 100' Cars . . .

    . . . aka 'dealer 100' cars

'Händler Nr' is a designation that appears on the Faktory Kardex and identifies the original dealer that ordered the car . . .
    http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...iversal+motors

But 'Händler Nr 100' is something a little different. Instead of designating a dealer --- this '100' code identifies a vehicle that was built for 'factory use' . . . internal delivery. And what that means isn't exactly clear. HughH had some interesting comments on this topic --- see post #441 . . .
    http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...ty-nine/page45

Short Version = Dealer 100 cars can be a bit odd --- with combinations of colors and equipment --- sometimes owners --- sometimes all-of-the-above . . . that make these vehicles just that much more . . . interestinger

    So --- here goes . . .

    Right at the factory!

Car is hibernating and all parts accounted for.
It will be available for sale soon . . .

    9110301059

    VIN = 9110301059
    Eng# = 6301439
    Trans# = 7107346
    Prod# = 1002454

Apart from a few scribbles on her Kardex . . . 'just a car'

Some interesting options, but nothing extravagant. Built in early '70, this car appears to 've been originally used by Versuch, then sold-off the next year. Zero info available from the Faktory . . . sorry, no history

Be interesting to know if all Versuch cars were 'Händler Nr 100' cars, as well

See confirmation letter from the factory. It was sold to the Gaban race team and used as Rally car. In 1990 the car was found as a rolling chassis without engine and interior but with gearbox and in good rust-free condition. The current owner had the car fully rebuilt in England and changed to wide body.

The car today has 2.8L single plug, 915 lim. slip gearbox, correct Scheel seats, dual race brakes, FIA papers and all components are fully rebuilt and the car is race ready. It participated in various vintage racing events. With the car are 2 original Mini-Light 10" rims, 2 Cibie lights, steel front hood for Cibie use (now a fiberglass hood is installed) The engine is set up for twin plug with dual coil and a non original twin plug distributor." . . .

    1382 and 1387 . . .

The Carrera RS book shows that 7 of the first 8 RSH Carreras were Porsche factory competition cars, two of which were converted by Porsche to RSR. Also interesting is that the first 1973 911 chassis, production number 1030001, was an RSH (#16). Many of the remaining RSH Carreras were sold to independent drivers or “insiders” such as Polak, which fits with the letter from Porsche to Mark H stating these cars were not intended for sale to the general public.

. . . Below is a list of the 17 Carrera RSH cars and selected information about each car. It appears that perhaps 10 exist today. If anything below is incorrect or can be supplemented, please let me know . . .

Note: 1256 was listed in Mark H’s letter from Porsche as an M472 option car, however the Carrera RS book shows it as a 0 conversion code RSH car, so the M472 designation in the Porsche letter may be a mistake.

First Series (5 Cars) - Beginning October 1972

    9113600016 Production Number. 1030001 (Exists)
Grand Prix White with Blue Lettering
    Build date: 7/72
Sold to: Porsche Company-Owned (100), Paris Auto Show, October 1972, Geneva Auto 1973.
Notes: Pre-production car, first 1973 production chassis, no conversion number 0 as other RSH cars. There were 17 RSH (according to Porsche Records) which implies that 0016 was one of them but it does not show a conversion number as 0 like all the others. That may be because it was a “pre production” car like most of the ones from 11 to 20, being built in July 1972.

The Carrera RS book by Konradsheim also states that all of the 'handler 100' Factory RSR cars in 1973 were delivered in Grandprix weiss, country code 'Germany' and would always be left hand drive (which is sort of implied by the fact they would be german delivery). In my research for the Martini tribute I'm building, I found that this means that those Martini company race-cars were only painted silver on the outside (e.g.: over the white paint).
