Hi Beh - Thanks... - As my car, VIN 119110036 does show flakes and signs of being Light Ivory. Now I know this was its original color; then of course repainted in Polo Red at some later time. I can also confirm mine came with short Tonneau cover and with rear seats. Therefore no 9256 rear seat delete.

Why does my kardex shows my car to have used SWB format? (its seems they had not been using the new format when my 69 was being made)

119110036 Y Germany Light Ivory kardex in SWB format; 9/9/68 prod

I had a small set of questions earlier that I decided to delete from this thread. I think the way I worded them was confusing. Here it is again, clarified.

For interest only, I am wondering what are the part numbers for that two weldable clips, and the two centered holes where one might slide the soft window frame? The predominant stiffening body frame for the SWT will appear in all targas after a certain time, but they seem to differ between HWT and SWT, may also have a part number.

This means that at factory during body assembly, there had to have been a division specializing in fabricating these parts. They had specific instructions/documentation on its manner of assembly.

The information is still correct, produced 9/9/68.
If the logic/policy at the factory was to never throw away something and use storage (parts) up to the last item, they used swb kardex for lwb cars, as long as it was the correct info on it, my imo.

A quick bump of this thread. I added some VINs to the 69E SWT post on the first page. Yet more interestingly appointed cars.

Still working towards the final number. I expect it to grow.

Just did a 1969 912 soft window - window replacement. This window appears to be never taken out, many pieces here usually missing. Photo show all the soft window specific parts.

Targa bar headliner - this is different on 67 models by 1968+ this is what you would find. Doubtful theses were changed out when doing a conversion.

In talking with Eric Linden today I was surprised to learn that our 1969 911S Soft Window Targa is not know by many in the club. It was bought by my father in-law (Hal Yeager)on 10/6/1969 and is #119310206 shown above. My wife and I inherited the car after Hal's passing. It is heavily optioned and in show condition.
