    Probably doesn't matter for guys our age Gib, but boys in procreating age should stay out from under lines like that!

    I went right home after the pics and took one of those 'blue pills' to protect myself...and my wife...



    I have painted a 'fog light delete' valence, and will try it out soon on this car. I am thinking maybe the recessed 3.2 fogs look a little too modern.

    I like "The Beige Bomb" just the way she is....

    Hi Gib...I think the recessed fog lights looks great on "The Bomb"...looks complete and clean...w/o them it looks like something is missing and empty...I always thought the external mounted fog lights(SC-type) looks incomplete and cumbersome...Most of the time they are "pointing" into the ground or all over the place...and usually they are crooked (to use a popular word!) ...maybe try with yellow glass?(on fogs only).But, what do I know...

    Great looking car and if I could reg/smog it in California, I would car-jack it from you ...Have a Happy Thanks Giving.../ Lars...

    Lars, thanks for the compliment. I definitely agree that the mid 70s through 83 style fogs just look like an after thought by Porsche...too cheap to do it like they finally did with the 3.2s in 84. I do like this look, but the clean look of no fogs has appeal to me, because it is a clean look. Here are some pics for comparison and one pic in Carmel showing both styles. I am still debating whether to make the change. If the rubber spoiler didn't have so many bolts I would just do it to see how it looks, but it is a PITA to change it all and then decide I don't like it so much.

    Some pics of the interior...

    Sport seats have Scottish Weaver tartan fabric inserted into leather surroundings. The 77 cork or saddle interior with 'shag carpet' is original...and beautiful! Going for a drive in this car is like stepping into a time machine...even the more primitive radio/speaker system contributes to the feeling. It surely isn't a GT3, but with the SSI breathing big port 3.0 engine it is enough to give this enthusiast some grins.

    I am anxious to see pics of your Light Yellow early Turbo.

    I know that lots of folks are having awfully cold weather right now...so I will go easy on the 'Chamber of Commerce' comments, but December in AZ is just about perfect weather wise. Low 70s during the day, high 40s at night. After 15 years in Anchorage, I have made up for it now with 16 years in AZ.

    I still miss those Permanent Fund checks though....

    In MT were are having chamber of commerce type weather but for a different sort of folk-. The yellow beastie is coming along nicely should be ready to to hit the road this spring.
