The 1967 911S (‘O’ Series) production run consisted of only 1162 examples of which approximately 35 were right hand drive. Only approximately 20 are thought to remain.
Being an SWB (2.25 inches shorter wheelbase) provides a propensity for the car to drive like a go-kart! Surprisingly though, it is a very easy vehicle to drive with good visibility and a turning circle that would embarrass a vehicle more modern.
This 911 was first delivered by the Porsche factory on 30th July 1967, via Masters Ltd in Bermuda, to a Mr Alexander Simpson, a Kiwi resident in Bermuda. It was subsequently registered in New Zealand on 24th December 1968.
The specification is as it left the factory:
Light ivory / 6604.
Black leather.
Blaupunkt ‘Koln’ radio.
1 loudspeaker.
Antenna.
Spare parts bag.
Seat belts.
Sun visors with mirrors.
Price: £215,000

For the sake of absolute accuracy, 36 were built and, to date, 23 confirmed survivors worldwide (with 2 further cars rumoured to exist but not confirmed by photos or documentation yet - both in Australia).

A right hand drive 67S languished in a field hub deep in mud for years near me. Driggs, Idaho. It was blue and yellow and had some fiberglass panels. I heard it went back to the UK for restoration. Does any UK member know of the car?
Yes I know the car and it’s UK owner. It’s under restoration and counts as one of the 23 survivors
That car was very original if not a little rusty.
Can you explain how a Rhd car was in Idaho Steve?
I never really discovered a reason. Serviceman owned originally perhaps?

I met and talked with the owner several times. I seems he worked in the UK at the US embassy I think. The car had British registration tags. Yellow with black numbers etc. I used to see the car on the road fairly often in the 80's. I once saw it at the Porsche dealership in Idaho Falls when it was in for service and was told it was in good shape mechanically. Not so much cosmetically. I happen to have the big fold out 67S brochure, the one with the Fuchs on the front. I got it from the same dealership and is stamped; Vista Volkswagen, IF Idaho. The car had a repro ducktail and fiberglass fenders/wings. It looked to be Bahama Yellow with a funky blue painted over it. Edit: Vista VW became Studer VW and finally Wackerli.
I lost track of it for a time then spotted it parked in the field. It was there for years. I stopped in to try to buy it once in a while but he would not let go. He had a number of interesting cars but my focus was the S. I know he passed away and then it was sold. Happy to hear it is being saved.

Chassis 308325 was first delivered to Mr Alexander Simpson, a New Zealander resident in Bermuda on 30 July 1967 via Masters Ltd, the local Porsche importer. Mr Simpson subsequently shipped and registered the car in Wellington, New Zealand in December 1968.
The car remained in New Zealand for 45 years and underwent a full restoration to original specification as per the factory Kardex in 2013 while retaining its matching numbers engine and gearbox. It was imported into the UK shortly afterwards in 2015 and has since been regularly maintained. Prill Porsche Classics thoroughly serviced the running gear in 2019 which included a top end engine rebuild.
The current owner, a well-known UK enthusiast has added more period correct details to the car, including an extremely valuable set of reconditioned early Recaro sports seats, as well as spending some time setting it up to his taste.
