George, definitely don't change this car. If it had been tastelessly converted from it's original factory configuration, then one could be justified in returning it to it how it left the factory. But given it's provenance - a genuine Ruf conversion - converted by such an esteemed artisan as Alois Ruf - I believe it would be a mistake not to preserve it as is. In this modern era, most Porsche enthusiasts would consider Ruf to be second only to the Porsche Factory's own Werks II and their Special Wishes program. Now if Porsche themselves had completed the conversion, the question "should I return it to original" would not even be asked.
As has been mentioned, if you truly have no place for a Convertible in your garage or your heart - sell it to someone who does. By the sound of your last post - perhaps you are warming to it now.
