I already own a concours champion 944 which I have worked very hard on. An acquaintance of a friend of mine told me about a 1969 911T with Webers for sale. He said it was very nice. Porsche owners always have one eye out for a second one, at least i did. So i went to look at it. After entering the garage i passed 3 cherry, early Corvettes. We are talking a '54, a '66 427, and a '67 427. All of them were like new. He told me his son paints professionally and it showed. He led me to the 911 and told me they stripped it to bare metal, found no bondo, and painted it the original color.

When we uncovered it, it looked like brand new. It had sat covered for the last 4 years, just after being painted. After a bit of looking i found the 911S tag and the fuel injection intact! The interior was a bit mildew and the wheels were very tarnished. To make a long story short, the car is 100% correct mechanically and the only body variations are the front spoiler and the back light kit. The car is solid and am currently redoing the entire brake system. Thanks to David Lucas for much advise. Jeff Folkerts
